At Studio Bloem, we are particularly interested in the formation of landscapes. These formation stories often tell an interesting tale of the inter-relationships between human beings, other organisms (such as plants and animals) and geology. When we interact with a landscape we always try to read these stories and add another chapter.
In recent years our work has often been inspired by the local ecology of a site and how human beings have altered it to suit their needs. We aim to promote a different kind of balance in which nature and human activity can act as equal partners in the shaping of our world.
