TRANSIENT TRAIN

Installation at group exhibition, Young Swampy Formalism at OP-nord, stuttgart, November, 2009

This project was an exploration of the relationship between the rhythm of the trains at Den Hague, HS Station, and people's movements. Key inspiration was the cycle of coming and going which is so evident at this major transport hub. The installation also researches how this hub interconnects with the city.

This was our first off site installation. For this installation we changed our usual immediate reactionary style to a more observant and accumulative approach. The installation was thought out up front and then placed in the gallery space, with slight adaptations to interact with the gallery wall.
